It’s hard to keep things in the perspective of eternity since we are living in the here and now. When the state of the world starts to weigh on me I try to focus on what I know is true: God is sovereign; He is just and all-powerful; and His plan and purposes will prevail! Unfortunately, it may sometimes be difficult for us while He is working. But we will have all of eternity with Him.

I’ve struggled with this a lot lately. Some days the injustice seems to skyrocket as those who don’t serve God at all seem to constantly prosper while His faithful struggle so. I needed these scriptures and will be pondering them. THANK YOU!

Thank you for this timely reminder. And as Christians we do need to believe God is always with us, because it will not always “feel like” it. After studying the Israelites recently, they began to serve other idols because they felt God had given up on them. But God showed them He never leaves and he punished them for their sin of idolatry. The bible tells us it will get worse before it gets better, we need to rely on our faith, not on what our eyes see.
