Gary, my brother and only sibling, broke his arm a few weeks ago. Every time I tell the story people laugh. Injuries shouldn’t be funny, but the way this happened is humorous.

How far is Comfort?

According to the road sign, Comfort was just nine miles away. I wondered what the town of Comfort, Texas looked like, but I did not take the detour off the highway. I was too anxious to get home after a weekend away.

But I was curious enough to Google “Comfort, Texas.” According to the town’s Chamber of Commerce site: “You’ll find yourself gradually relaxing as you approach our little ‘Haven in the Hills’ nestled in this pastoral valley only minutes away from the bustle of San Antonio.”

I know a lot of people that could use a visit to Comfort right now. Road weary folks that need to spend some time relaxing in a “haven in the hills.” Read more

Are you in Training?

Right now my husband is in the middle of a two-week hunting trip in the mountains of Washington State. They packed in eight miles by horseback. There is no cell phone coverage and no bathrooms. Just six men in tents. He is having the time of his life.
