Ever wonder where God is and what He’s up to when you’re suffering through hard times? I think we’ve all asked that question at some point. I certainly can’t explain God’s ways but the Bible does give us some insight.

First, God knows our every need. The Lord of all creation – the One who knows when a sparrow falls to the ground – knows when you’re hungry and when you’re grieving. He promises to meet your needs as you seek Him first (Matthew 6:33).

Second, God promises that no matter what we go through He is with us in the middle of it. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” I love that phrase “an ever-present help.” We are not alone. He is with us to give us strength and guidance even in the hardest of days. Read more
