A couple of weeks ago I got to spend some time with three sweet friends who love Jesus and tirelessly minister to others. Since all of them have recently released great books I decided it wanted to tell you about them – my friends and their new books! AND, I want to give you a chance to win one of their books! (This post/email is longer than usual, but feel free to skim or jump down to a book that captures your attention!)
There will actually be FOUR winners – one for each of my friends’ books and one winner of my last release “Deep Rooted: Growing through the Gospel of Mark.” You can enter up to three times. Here are the ways you can enter: 1. Leave a comment on this blog saying which book you most need to read. 2. Share this post on Facebook. Be sure to come back here and leave a separate comment letting me know you shared. 3. Email this post to one or more friends. Again, come back here and leave a separate comment to let me know you did this. (Note: The random winner is drawn from the comments. That’s why you need to leave separate comments!)
“Letting God be Enough” by Erica Wiggenhorn
Erica’s own testimony:
“For years I tried to be the superhero Christian woman. You know- put together, well-behaved kids, faithful volunteer, always dependable. I strove to meet every need, make everybody happy, and keep up the image of doing it all in the joy of Jesus. But, inside I was exhausted. And I did it out of fear not love. I worried that if I dropped my superhero cape, people would reject me. Maybe even God would be disappointed in me. So, I kept up the pace of frenetic performance. Still I felt judged, rejected, diminished, not enough. But then I found freedom from all this and more by letting God be enough.”
More about “Letting God Be Enough:”
In a world where “never enough” is the norm, how do you avoid comparing yourself to others? Do you attempt to keep up or simply give up? And how does God fit into the equation?
Erica Wiggenhorn has led thousands of women through the pages of Scripture. In “Letting God Be Enough” she biblically tackles the age-old feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt, fear, comparison, and insecurity. Through the life of Moses, Erica shows how God can work powerfully through our weaknesses. You will discover how to:
- Jump off the merry-go-round of other people’s opinion
- Exchange past regrets with God’s exciting plan for your future
- Experience freedom from self-doubt, comparison, and feelings of inadequacy
- Walk in confidence that God can handle everything that happens today
- Rest in God when life doesn’t make sense
- Let God be enough!

Deep Rooted I want my life to be saturated with scripture for myself and others. I love to encourage others with scripture through conversation, e-mails, face book, and by sending cards. Scripture is our life line to the Lord. Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” The Lord’s many blessings and much joy for you and your family.
Good word Elsie! May God bless your ministry of encouraging others with His Word. You are entered in the drawing!

Hi Kay! You are entered!
Deep Rooted and Letting God be enough for me. I am a new Christian and I have trouble with understanding how to do things. I went through a rooted class at my church that helped me alot, once i was out of the church it was harder to keep things going. I need things at home to help me along the way so I feel the same way I did when I was in that class and when I am at church. It is hard to know what to do and how to do things when you have never been in that life before. Thank you
Hi Penny! Thank you for coming by here! You are entered in the drawing. I have some resources on this website to help in the area of discipleship so be sure to look around! I also lead a daily Bible reading group on Facebook you might find very helpful and encouraging. I post daily Bible readings Monday-Friday with some questions. The women discuss in the comments. It’s a great way to know what to read with help for what to look at, and encouragement to keep going! Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ReadingTheBibleTogether

Great! You are entered in the giveaway!
Deeply Rooted is my choice!
Thank you for writing it and for sharing this opportunity to receive the book.
With the past couple of years taking their toll on mental & physical health of families, this is a timely book. Personally, I have been trying to delve more into the Bible itself and not into book studies, but I get flummoxed on where to go/what to start reading. I think this will be a great guide.
Hi Terri, yes, Deep Rooted will guide you straight through the Gospel of Mark and help equip you to do the same yourself in other books. You are entered!
I already own and am using Deep Rooted with my Bible study group. As I read the descriptions of the other books I thought, “Oh, I need that one! Oh, I need that one too! And that one!” I plan to purchase all three, or two of them if I win one.
Julie, that sounds like a great idea! You are entered!
Hi Kathy,
Any of these books would be a blessing to receive. I’ve truly been blessed by your teachings as you dwell into God’s word.
God has gifted you with many talents, teacher, speaker and writer.
Hi Gay, thank you for your kind, encouraging words! You are entered I’m the giveaway!
All of the books sound great! But if I had to choose just one first, it would be Deep Rooted. I have been going through difficult times for the past three years, and the Lord’s Word is what has kept me rooted…and I crave more!
Hi Rachael, thank you for coming by and sharing a bit from your life. That is exactly where God wants us to be – in His Word and craving more! You are entered!
Over the last 18+ months if have been growing more and more restless. I don’t know why, or what I need to change to end this feeling. I know that I struggle with feeling like I need more “things”, more “stuff”. I want to learn to abide in Christ. I think the book “Letting God be Enough” would be the best book for me. But I will leave it in the Lords Hands.
Deanna, I think Erica’s book would be an encouragement to you. You are entered in the giveaway!
It would be of great encouragement to read any of the books/titles. If I had to choose just one. At the moment it would have to be Deep Rooted. I’m always looking for ways to keep growing in my faith, and I believe one of the only ways to do this is to read and study the word. Thank you so much for sharing all of your gifts God has given you.
Hi Tammy! I loved studying the book of Mark when I was writing Deep Rooted, so I believe it would help you as well. You are entered in the giveaway!

Donna, I’m glad Deep Rooted has been encouraging. Since you have that one, is there another book you’d like to have if you win the giveaway?
Thank you Kathy for your generous offer. It would help root me in my daily reading of God’s work. A simple understanding of how to engage with the text is very much needed.
Hi Sylvia, thanks for coming by!

Great, thank you! You are entered again!

Lianne, I am so sorry to hear about your struggles. I believe Messy Hope would give you some practical help. You are entered in the drawing.
Kathy, you can remove me from the drawing. I missed the part where it said you had to live in the states to win.
Lianne, where do you live? It may be possible to send you a ebook!
Deep Rooted: Growing Through the Gospel of Mark looks like what would fit me well right now. There is certainly no better example to study and learn from! Don’t you love the way you can always learn something different each time you study a book/passage and it is always that one thing that seems so new and completely fitting at the time.
Yes! God’s Word has one meaning but endless application for our lives!
I would love to have Deep Rooted. I am looking for a book that will take me on a journey to delve deeper into God’s Word. I think my Bible app is just surface study and I need more.
Hi Lisa, I love your heart to want to delve deeper into God’s Word! My desire for Deep Rooted is to help women do just that! You are entered!
I shared this on Facebook.
You are entered twice!

Hi Karen! It’s a great book! You are entered!
Let God be enough. No matter how hard I try I fall into the trap of forgetting He is all I need.
Hi Grace, I think we all fall in that trap from time to time. You are entered in the drawing!
All the books sound wonderful but my top two choices if I were to win would be Messy Hope (I know of some teens who are struggling) and Deep Rooted as I definitely need to be much more deeply rooted!
Vicky, it is sad to see how many young people are struggling. May God give you wisdom to help those He has brought into your life. You are entered in the giveaway.
