Because Jesus is our perfect High Priest we are able to enter into God’s presence. Through prayer, we can boldly go into the Throne Room of our heavenly King, bringing our prayers and petitions.
What do you need to bring to Him today? What need, grief, hurt, or temptation can you lay at His feet in prayer?
Heavenly Father,
As I sat down here to write this prayer I kept on hitting the “delete” button. Everything I thought of to lay at your feet is already there — and I am praising you for your faithfulness! Over this past year there has been so much to deal with in my life, but you have carried me through each and every situation. Thank you, Lord! And this week, when the stress of my father’s illness and both of my parent’s aging (and all the concerns that go with that)had come to a head, you blessed us all with the arrival of my sister. She was able to come and help when I could not…and I know you made the way for her. Thank you for meeting all our needs. What I will lay at your feet tonight is the temptation I have to become frightened for the future. Your word says to fear not and to trust you. And so that is what I am giving you today…my weakness and my moments of fear. I know that you have a plan and your plan is good. I am so thankful that you welcome me coming to you in prayer.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Joan, thank you for your heartfelt prayer. I am lifting you up in prayer this morning.
